All work exhibited at the Gallery on the Lake must be juried and produced by the Juried Artist. Artists must exhibit art only in the category for which they are juried. Approved categories are represented by the codes explained in the Media Legend.
Artists are authorized to exhibit only “original works of authorship”, (original work produced by exhibitor) or reproductions of their work.
Art may be exhibited in the Gallery for a maximum of 90 days. (See GALLERY EXHIBIT STANDARDS) Overdue art will be placed in an “Overdue Bin” and the artist will be contacted by the director. After 60 days in the Overdue Bin, the art will be considered abandoned and will become the property of the Gallery on the Lake unless Gallery Director has been contacted with a plan for disposition prior to the end of the 60 day period.
Customers or member artists may not photograph or take videos of any art in the Gallery without the permission of the artist or the Gallery Operations director.
Gallery on the Lake LLC will not be responsible for loss, theft, or damage to any work displayed in the gallery, porch, yard area, or at any Gallery events.
Personal business cards must not be visible on art when exhibited.
All art sold through the Gallery or any Group show or exhibit must be priced in whole dollar amounts greater than or equal to $10.00.
All exhibited art must be for sale.
Artists may not include feathers, real or synthetic, on any piece of art.
Gallery on the Lake, LLC only exhibits high-quality, family-friendly art. Art that portrays obscene, indecent, sexually suggestive, racist, hateful, profane, or illegal objects, scenes or activities are strictly prohibited and will be removed immediately.
No personal property or extra art work may be stored at the Gallery
Gallery on the Lake will retain a forty percent (40%) commission on all gallery sales of art work.
Exhibitors will receive the balance of the sales price, less the commission. Every effort will be made to pay the artist by the 15th of the month following the sale.
